Alexander Popple
Alex is a web analyst and data protection expert.
He is especially interested in helping people to analyse, understand and use complex information to make smart decisions.
He believes that web analytics are currently under-utilised by most organisations
but than when used to optimise the quality and effectiveness of online resources they can deliver significantly enhanced value and interest to both users and site owners.
Before joining Polecat, Alex spent seven years at Microsoft, where he was most recently responsible for web analysis and customer privacy protection at MSN UK.
His first online services job was as a writer and web content producer, which he
discovered was a lot more fun than working as a database support analyst in the
motor industry, even if back in the late 1990s you did have to do a bit of coding
to glue it all together.
